About
Levi Kiess is a show set and props designer with a background in theatre set design, props design, and scenic art. He is an Alumnus of the University of Cincinnati: College-Conservatory of Music, graduating with a BFA in Scenic Design, Scenic Art, and Props in April 2018. Over the past five years, he has held roles as a Designer for Universal Orlando Resort’s Art & Design (Entertainment) team, a Scenic and Theming Stage Manager for the Entertainment department at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, and has been involved in the design and production of 41 different theatre shows in 86 different positions. He has had experience in the themed entertainment industry, theater, immersive environments, and film. A common factor in each of his experiences, he values working as a collaborative force to achieve new visions that one could not accomplish alone. Never one to stray away from a challenge, he strives to continually diversify himself as a designer to broaden his worldview and create rich scenic narratives.

Full conceptualization of the world premiere production, including scenic concept, printed and painted models, extensive research, designer drafting plates, paint elevations, and concept for larger scenic props. To top it all off, a 138 page capstone book is available for download.

Follow the process of the theoretical design of the haunting opera The Medium. This design was implemented through research, draftings, and a 3/8" scale printed and painted model complete with working lights.
